Eye opener

The moment we open our eyes in the start of our day, we are receiving the blessing of another day filled with limitless opportunity. Most unimaginable until it strikes. Some that leaves us in awwe when our eyes before may have not seen, or perhaps our minds never before believed.

Our experiences may have been some to crack and leave us stumbling, but where we have before fallen or found difficulty, we also have had our magic wings to overcome or even completely counteract those moments of temporary struggles. Where these moments may have been that hard to swallow, bruised our pride, left tears in our eyes, eventually these moments were healed. Our eyes were dry and with clear vision. Our mind was recovered from the bruising and we were able to accept all that was to come back around.

I can attest to the many falls and losses I have had. When it came to family, love, relationships, money, jobs, education, and almost my life. However, I am here today, another blessed day and all I can ever say in trying times is “I have literally survived worse”! Guess what? So have you! Not only have we survived, but we are given much more in return when we are able to see the light in our new day.

No matter how thick the fog may get in your path, the storm may leave you cold and wet, just remember that it will pass and you will dry and even change your clothing for the better. Keep your eyes and mind open to all that surrounds you and you will always receive more than you could have ever imagined. One can’t keep a steady focus on instability, but you most certainly can when your lens is clean and your view is clear. Open your window and take a look around. Embrace all that is there and trust in what you lead yourself to. Everyday provides a window of inspiration something or perhaps a perfect stranger.

During the times of my biggest trials, I have allowed myself to move out of the clutter and would go take a walk and just go explore with my eyes and mind open to all that I may pass by, run into, or even have a moment to speak to. I most definitely have been giving the opportunity to hear the sacrifices and successes of the perfect stranger standing on the street corner selling a product in the peak of a new startup. Or the grandmother that finds most days difficult to walk when she has suffered years with the debilitating disease, multiple sclerosis. However, the days where she faces the challenge to walk, she overcame her pain and decided she could fly by going skydiving! I have experienced many eye-opening moments through others and I have always been inspired. I have closed my ears myself to those who told me that I would never be normal, walk again without issue, I will suffer, blah blah blah. After months of being in a wheel chair after suffering multiple breaks and injuries including broken back, hip, femur, and pelvis, I strive to overcome the most difficult of days, and excel to reach my goal to being not only myself again, but my best self all over. Living in full recovery and without restrictions. Whether mental or physical each decision is ours to make and the result of it is what we have to take. I never let go of my smile, and I never hesitated to share it with others. Where you may find that special something or stranger to inspire you, remember that you too are inspiring another. You may never know, but live in a way that you are always being viewed and most definitely could be shedding light on someone else’s darkest day.

Peek out and allow in what may come and continue to live through greater motivation. Never take for granted the days that you are given. Most importantly do not give misuse of your time with worry and strife. Instead take what is around you and utilize this for the best or even the better of time. Trust the process and believe in yourself and your greater intuition. You will be lead to all that is brought to you. Yesterday may have been a rainy day, but today is sunshine and clear skies. From now on you will be better prepared for any weather and conquer.

Have the best day that you can make each and every day! Go out and be inspired, even if it is through yourself. Live and share it passionately!
