Go in Educated and come out Strong- Voting with a purpose!

Happy Friday Everyone! Whew after a long and busy week, It is finally here! I hope you have found yourself knowing that you have done wondrous things thus far. No matter any pitfalls or cracks that you have stepped in on the ground, at the end of the day, you know you have made a difference at the least.

As a parent, I pat myself on the back for getting my kid to school before the bell. After a long day running like a wild chicken, I am there to help make a school project while I am nodding off every so seldom at the kitchen table. However, on days like today, not only do I make life work, I manage to end it with a beautiful sense of strength, purpose, unity, and a smile. Today, I managed to vote early, rather than in the brink of the process.

One of the greatest advantages of doing so, is that you have more opportunity before to meet with those candidates and understand who they are but most importantly how they understand you! After all, these candidates are there with a purpose to serve perhaps based on their personal experiences. Either way, they go in with a mission, but your presence and voice is more powerful when heard. Your voice is the fuel that keeps their engines running and the ability to keep working. You are a direct connection and resource to them, just as much as they are to you. Your voice is much more amplified when these candidates are able to accurately and securely get down to the source of their mission, ultimately their elected jobs. Their jobs are given by voters, YOU!

I am going to be honest with you, majority of time, I do not have the time to watch television. Therefore, it is not my influence with any decision I make. As for social media, I skip directly over those posts when it comes to public opinion to agree or disagree with one another, especially when it comes to their chosen political party. I do not count on the masses to give me opinion, but I count on myself to seek resources and when the opportunity gives, go to the direct source to educate myself and determine where my personal vote will better serve my mission, purpose, future, and my family. I could never walk up to a stranger, or even my best friend and tell them who to vote for. AS long as they are voting with Education behind them and a fulfilled purpose, then I am just as happy for them as I am myself.  I am a strong advocator for myself as well as the general community in areas that I personally can relate and help through my experiences. Everyone has a different walk of life and so therefore their individual decisions will bring individual outcomes. Never lose sight in what you believe in and what brings you peace. Most importantly do not let anything misguide or shift your ability to stand straight for what is important for you.

Before the polls, take the time to research those who may be running for a specific office and reach out to them directly. Let them know that you are interested in knowing more about their platform for the educated intent of voting. These individuals are happy to take their time in meeting with you.Take this time to share with them your personal experiences and what is important to you. Just as it is important for them to receive your vote, it is a reciprocal benefit for them to also know and understand how they can stay relevant in support and involvement with individuals and families in their community. Ultimately, to better serve through their work. Your voice is just as big as the jobs that you support. Those jobs in return are there to support you, your family, and your community!

Election time should not be a time to defy one another, but a greater time to unite and connect with one another. Go in educated, with a purpose and come out stronger as a community. I am an individual who has much perspective on different views based on personal experience. Through these experiences, I have learned that I cannot pay, wait, or expect someone else to advocate for me, my future, or my family in a way that I could. However, I can research and educate myself based on resources that are publicly provided to best understand the process I need to take in order to successfully get to where I need to go.

Without education, your voice has no power. It is crucial to accurately know how you can better serve yourself. At the end of the day, it is obligatory right. Your voice is just as powerful as the job it gives. It is crucial to educate yourself and become well informed in your understanding on how YOUR rightful made choice impacts you and your family’s future. Do not dive into the masses for personally irrelevant made opinions,  because you are only creating the outcome that will go against you. Go directly to the source to get the answers you need to make the change that you want. Just like anything else in life, you can’t worry about anyone else if you can’t take care of yourself. Go educate yourself and get connected. How you are able to make a slight change for yourself, will ultimately make a larger change for community. Make your educated decision count!

I wish everyone happy voting and a beautiful weekend!
